Untitled

I finally found the courage to confront you
And on the lawn, with the wind whipping the fallen leaves around our feet asked you
If hiding inside your head helped
Or if it was just
Very lonely

so, upon reading this, i immediately was like "where's the rest of it?!". but i reread it and am so glad that there isnt anymore. i think it captures a moment beautifully, poetry (if its good anyways) captures a moment, not so much an event or a feeling. i think the reader should get their own feeling from reading the poem. this does this well. i feel the language is so simple, but really loaded with such an image and the question the character asks has weighty implications. and overall its a beautiful question. please keep writing! ps you may want to check out jim carroll's work, i think youd like it.
